What is The QuadFest 2008?

PaAtving’s QuadFest will be held July 18-19-20, 2008  at Mountain Ridge Trails Resort;  It is an ATV exposition that is meant to provide an exciting weekend for ‘everything ATV.’  There will be ATV trail riding, drag racing, mud bog, obstacle course, wheelie contest and motocross time trials along with a vendor show including OEM and dealerships in the area. 

Who is hosting The QuadFest 2008?

The PaAtving QuadFest is being held at Mountain Ridge Trails Resort with the participation of several other non-profits and ATV riding clubs based in the State of Pennsylvania.

When is The QuadFest 2008?

The event is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 18, 19 and 20, 2008.  Trail riding for the public will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The event is rain or shine.

How much is it to ride at The QuadFest 2008?

ONE Price Riding Tickets can be purchased for $40 each;  this covers the cost of riding for one day, two days or the entire weekend.  There is no one day passes for this event, but if you purchase the advance riding pass you can come in for one day only.

How much is it to attend The QuadFest 2008 as a spectator?

Advance Spectator Tickets are available for $20 for the weekend and includes event day parking.  Spectator Tickets at the door will be $10/day and include event day parking.

Can I buy tickets at the Gate?

Yes, tickets will be available at the gate.  The price for tickets was supposed to be $70 per rider, but because of the price of Gas, QuadFest has reduced this price to $50 per rider.  As a reminder, every rider, regardless of age, must purchase a rider pass.  And, every rider, even if riding double will need a rider pass.

Where can I park and is there a fee to park at The QuadFest 2008?

All tickets include event day parking to QuadFest.  For overnight camping tags, a $20 per tow vehicle charge will apply. 

Event Day Parking will allow for parking in our day parking area.  This area will be open from 7am-11pm Friday & Saturday and from 7am until 3pm on Sunday.  All vehicles and trailers MUST be REMOVED from this area daily or else they risk being towed at the owner’s expense.  Parking is on a first come, first served basis – there will be no saving of spots

There will be separate parking for those wishing to camp for the weekend. 

A camping pass will allow for parking in our camping and/or overnight area.  This area will be open from 5pm Thursday, July 17, 2008 through 3pm Sunday, July 20nd, 2008 (GATE times will vary – check gate times for accessibility in and out of the property).  All vehicles in this area MUST display a valid, issued QuadFest camping pass on their rearview mirror of their tow vehicle.  (If you do not have a rear view mirror, please display on the dashboard of the main tow vehicle)  If you are parked in this area without the proper tag, you risk being towed at owner’s expense.  Pre-purchased camping tags are $15 per vehicle.  If purchased at the door, the cost for a pass to park in the camping area will be $30.  If you have multiple vehicles coming into the camping area and/or parking on the property overnight, each one will need to purchase a $30 camping tag and be displayed in EACH vehicle or risk your vehicle being towed.  The Main Camping area at QuadFest is first come, first served.  There is NO SAVING of spots in the main camping area, you are placed in the order you come in to the property. 

Ex. 1 a car comes in with a Truck pulling a 22 foot camper.  The car and the truck will both need to purchase and display a camping tag.

 

Ex. 2 a motor home comes in pulling a flat trailer.  The motor home will need to purchase and display one camping tag. 

Ex. 3 a truck comes in pulling a trailer with 6 people.  The 6 individuals will be camping in 3 tents.  .  The truck will need to purchase and display one camping tag. 

Can I camp at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, camping and/or overnight parking is $20 per tow vehicle and is available Thursday (with prepaid camping and rider pass), Friday, and Saturday night.  The camping is primitive as there is no water and / or electricity available in the camping area.  Motor homes, 5th wheels, campers, pop-ups, tents etc are all welcome. **No Open Fires allowed - Including those inside a fire ring.  No fires are permitted on the ground.  Fires in patio style - elevated fire pits (aka outdoor fireplaces) are permissible. The bottom of this pit shall be a minimum of 6 inches from the ground.  A fire in approved pit / chimney shall be attended at all times.

Can I reserve a camping spot in the main campground at The QuadFest 2008?

No.  ALL campers will be placed in the order that they come in the gate.  There are NO RESERVED spots for campers in the main area.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.  If you would like to camp together, come into the gate together. 

What if it rains for The QuadFest 2008?

This event is RAIN or SHINE.

What level of rider do I need to be to attend The QuadFest 2008?

The 60+ mile trails are intended for every type of rider and skill level.  There will be multiple loops available for trail riding daily.  Each loop will be ONE way and marked green for easy, blue for intermediate and black for expert riding.  Sport bikes, utility bikes, children’s ATV’s, rhinos, Argos and dirt bikes are all welcome to this event.  Check back after July 1st for a complete list of loops available.

Open Trail Riding times are as follows:

Friday 7 am – 7 pm

Saturday 7am – 7 pm

Sunday 7am - 3pm

Can my children come and ride at the event?

Yes – all children of all ages are welcome to come to the event.  There will be a number of activities specifically designed around children 15 and under who attend The QuadFest 2008.  A special trail, designated FAMILY trail will allow families of all ages to participate in the events.  Just as a reminder, any child who is riding during the weekend will need to purchase a Riding Pass.  An adult must accompany all children at all times on the property.  If your child is under the age of 8 and NOT riding, they are admitted Free to the event.  Weekend Kidz events are available, call 1-87-Ride-in-PA (1-877-433-4672) or email rideinpa@gmail.com to register your child for our Kidz events.

I have a sport quad… can I ride at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, all sport quads, racing or not are able to ride at the event.

I have a utility quad… can I ride at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, all utility quads are able to ride at the event.

I have a dirtbike… can I ride at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, all dirtbikes, racing or not are able to ride at the event.

I have an Argo… can I ride at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, all Argos are able to ride at the event.

I have a Rhino… can I ride at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, all Rhinos are able to ride at the event.

How long will the trail be for riding at The QuadFest 2008?

The trail ride will be 60+ miles, with a poker run type setup. The trail at that time will be permanently marked and mapped out. For this ride, it will be one way and we will have Trail Staff running the course to make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. This will be a ride for all skill levels.

I don’t have my own ATV… can I ride double at The QuadFest 2008?

Although not recommended, riding double is acceptable.  However, the same fee applies per rider regardless of riding double.  (I.e. those riding double must purchase their own weekend riding pass)

 

I want to bring someone who won’t be riding, will they be required to pay and sign a waiver at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, due to the nature of the event and all the additional events that will occur, each individual through the gate will be required to pay $10 / day and $20 / weekend.    Children 8 and under, who are NOT riding are free.  If a child will be riding an ATV on the property, they will be required to have parental consent and purchase a Riding pass.

Do I have to wear a helmet at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, helmets are required on the property AT ALL TIMES.  Travel in and between the camping area and main pavilion will require a helmet and speeds less than 5 mph.

Do I need insurance and plates at The QuadFest 2008?

QuadFest supports the rules & regulations of the Pa DCNR.  However, we are not a DCNR enforcing agency nor an insurance regulating agency. QuadFest staff will check for your riding pass and make sure you sign our waiver to enter the gates.

Will there be a vendor show at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, we have invited vendors, dealerships and manufactures to the event.  There will be a little bit of something for everyone.

Will food be available for purchase at The QuadFest 2008?

Yes, food will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Several vendors will be providing food.  All food will be priced according to the vendors providing it.  You are welcome to bring along your own food and/or cooking grills to cook your own food.  There is no electricity available on the property.

 

Our food vendors are GREAT supporters of QuadFest and developed a menu of various items to help make your weekend better.. here is what kind of food you can expect at this year's event........ No Bull featuring Pulled Pork with chips, BBQ chicken with chips, Smoked turkey W chips, Kielbasa sandwich w/chips, Pig Wing (market price), Pork Chops, 1/4 hot dog, Drinks, Shaved Ice, Rib Sandwich, coleslaw, beans;  Pappy D's will have 1/2 chicken, 1/4 rib, 1/2 rib, Whole Rib, Pulled pork w/slaw, Beef Brisket w/ cheese, slaw, beans, steak fries, can soda and 16 oz bottle;  Radcliffe will have Fresh cut fires, Cheese Steak, Texas Burger, Soft Pretzel, Nachos w/cheese, Corn Dog, Pizza, drinks, water, Fresh lemonade; Covered Bridge features Ham BBQ, Chicken Sandwich, hot dog, Kielbasa Sandwich, Sloppy Joe, Cut Fries, corn Dog, Breakfast sandwiches, snacks, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, Lemonade or Iced tea, 24 ounce soda or water:  Pritz features Steak and Cheese, Hot Sausage, Hamburger,cheeseburger, curly fires, Sun tea, Breakfast: eggs, toast, sausage, hash browns, coffee, juice;  Pepper Wagon will have stuffed peppers, pepper sandwich, Haluski, Pierogies, Kielbasa Sandwich, Breakfast sandwich and coffee, bagel ham or sausage egg and cheese, Iced Tea, Root beer floats;  G&G will have funnel cakes, fried Oreos, lemonade, tea, breakfast; The 4H travel all club will have ice cream, Stoystown Fire Department will have Pizza an Bayou Billy will have homemade soda

I don’t want to camp at The QuadFest 2008, are there other alternatives for accommodations?

Yes, there are over 70+ hotels within 13 miles of the property.  A comprehensive list can be found on www.mountainridgeatvtrails.com.   The property is conveniently located between both the Bedford and Somerset exits on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Can I bring alcohol to The QuadFest 2008?

Alcohol Policy: NO ALCOHOL can be stored, transported or consumed while on a bike of ANY kind while at QuadFest or inside the event / camping areas.

There is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NO ALCOHOL ON THE TRAIL.  Our Police department and Trail Staff will enforce this.  There is a NO-Tolerance Policy on this.  If you are caught with alcohol on the trail, you will be asked to leave the event and there are NO REFUNDS.  This also applies to fighting, public disturbances and other situations that are enforceable by PA State Law. 

Please do not bring weapons onto the property. There will be Police and Security round the clock during the event and there is ZERO tolerance on breaking the rules.
